The Numinous Constraint Agency is an extra-dimensional, multi-dimensional bureau tasked with maintaining a balance in the multi-verse in the spirit of a grand bargain called \u2018The Trinity\u2019. It is headed by a dream-creature called \u2018Arteus the Faun\u2019 and it is staffed by variously talented Agent recruits. These are through the annals of The Agency Tales revealed to the author with dream-sendings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staff of the Numinous Constraint Agency are drawn from the ranks of forgotten gods, demi-gods, mythical creatures of various types, also mortal Human beings who uniquely possess a \u2018tongue of flame\u2019, whom are thus called \u2018torches\u2019. Stone and Flute tells of the mission of the giant Argus Panoptes and the mortal ex-CIA agent Vernon Duke to retrieve a precious object from a Bank in Durban in 1856AD. They also battle an impundulu to rescue a candidate torch; stop an AmaPondo invasion and stir up trouble with the Olympian Gods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if\u2026?<\/strong> Cause and Effect… the texture of your life would take you on a journey that you never expected? What if the way you patterned your life does not follow the script that you had prepared for? How does the natural survive an encounter with the supernatural? At what point does the ‘ordinary’ life of a candidate torch become ‘extra-ordinary’?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
